What to Wear/Bring on your Alaskan Fishing Trip

Weather Conditions

Summer weather in Homer, Alaska can vary from a warm and sunny 70 degrees to a windy, rainy 45 degree day. Dressing in layers is important due to quickly changing weather. Please be sure to bring a rain jacket and pants to avoid being uncomfortable and wet all day.

Fishing License

Alaska fishing license or harvest card if under 16. Buy it online here.

Not Included

Rain Gear

Warm, layered clothing, rain gear and waterproof shoes.

Food & Beverages

Please pack all snacks, meals and drinks for the day.

Motion Sickness Relief

If prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking Bonine the night before and the morning of your trip.

What NOT to Bring

Here are things we do NOT allow onboard.

Large Coolers

Nothing bigger than a personal cooler for food and drinks are allowed.

Glass Bottles

We recommend re-usable drinking bottles.

Illegal Drugs

No drugs onboard. While marijuana is legal in Alaska, our boats are federally regulated and so it is illegal to possess or consume while onboard. Thank you!

Pets

Your furry friends will have to wait to see your amazing catch.

Guns/Bear Spray

Please leave these at home: Firearms/Bear spray (we don’t want any accidental holes in the boat and we highly doubt that a bear is going to join us on board).
