Winter King & Crabbing
A great way to enjoy the waters in the off season and see the winterscapes of Kachemak Bay.
Even though our weather was cold and rainy, we had a great experience because everyone on our charter trip CAUGHT our limit of LARGE HALIBUT. The crew assistants (Chey and Grace?) were so helpful and efficient in assisting with each catch. They and our captain were also most informative about halibut fish details, the fishing industry of halibut, etc. adding to our experience. And we left with all of our catch filleted !
I can’t recommend Maverick Charters enough for the best fishing experience in Homer. Our captain Eric and mate Matt worked SO hard to ensure we had the best possible chance to catch king salmon. They cheered us on and celebrated when we caught fish.
Absolutely a fantastic experience! We could not have asked for a better captain (Eric) or deck hand(Spike), the boat was comfortable, roomy. From the minute we met at the boat til we stepped off at the dock they were first class! The Fishing was phenomenal! Everyone limited out and had great day!
Great outfit, super professional clearly passionate about making sure everyone has a great time and catches their limit. Will be back again.
